Corbyn the crass

In advance of Jeremy Corbyn's keynote election speech in which he linked the Manchester bombing to British foreign policy, former Home Secretary Charles Clarke last night explained the threat posed by Islam in terms which even Mr Corbyn should be able to understand. Sadly he and many others refuse to listen or choose to believe what they are told unaware that lying is a weapon being used as part of the deceptive claim that Islam is a religion of peace.

Despite all the evidence to the contrary it was claimed that the Manchester bomber "was a terrorist, not a Muslim". Muslim leaders in Manchester reported a rise in Islamophobic incidents. This has become a regular pattern after such incidents.

What foreign policy in Egypt was responsible for the latest atrocity in which a bus carrying Christians was blocked by three vehicles before militants opened fire? At least 26 Coptic Christians were killed and dozens injured including children.

It is often claimed, as Corbyn does, that the presence of Westerners in Muslim lands leads to terrorist attacks. These attacks have been going on for 1400 years. The so called 'Muslim lands' were home to Christians long before Islam came on the scene. Many Christian communities are being wiped out and face extinction within ten years. That is the reality.

Lands that have not been conquered by force are now subject to occupation by stealth with immigration and high birth rates. Read Maybe It’s Time For Some Reverse Creeping Sharia .

We do not need to look for excuses such as poverty and marginalisation, or whether the perpetrator was mentally unstable. No rational person would blow up him/herself with others in the expectation of a reward in paradise. Why would God want an ignorant savage to destroy what He had created?

Not all terrorists are Muslim, not all Muslims are terrorists but authority can be found in Islamic ideology to permit such acts of violence against Jews and Christians. It is that ideology that needs to be challenged without complaints of Islamophobia.

Update [27.05.2017]

From "Islamist Ideology, not Western Foreign Policy, is why ISIS Attack Us"

"We hate you, first and foremost, because you are disbelievers; you reject the oneness of Allah … and you indulge in all manner of devilish practices. … Furthermore, just as your disbelief is the primary reason we hate you, your disbelief is the primary reason we fight you, as we have been commanded to fight the disbelievers until they submit to the authority of Islam, either by becoming Muslims, or by … living in humiliation under the rule of the Muslims. … We hate you because your secular, liberal societies permit the very things that Allah has prohibited …"

  1. You report that the presence of Westerners in Muslim lands is responsible for terrorism,( as Jeremy Corbyn allegedly said).
Is it not true that the Islamic terrorists claim a similar point? They believe that the West has attacked and interfered in Muslim countries, and that every tax player in the UK has a responsibility for the involvement in Muslim countries, having contributed to the funding of the military and the establishment. That is the reasoning that the terrorists tell themselves, putting all of us in the line of fire.
The second issue in this complex situation is that the Muslims in the UK often speak with a 'forked tongue'.
    Undoubtedly they do not wish to intergrate into our lifestyle and wish to alter our way of living.However detaching themselves from the Islamic terrorists they proclaim Islam as a religion of peace. There is an indication that some politicians and some general public are beginning to fall for this line ;

  2. Can you cite verbatim any part of Corbyn's speech which supports the precise assertions you have made here?

Three days after a maniac kills 22 people, of whom I think 20 were British citizens - mainly little girls and young women - going about their lawful affairs in an English city, do you think the leader of the opposition (and of the largest party of any kind in western Europe) should make a speech while not mentioning it? Do you imagine that Attlee or Bevan would have made a speech in 1940 tactfully avoiding mention of the Blitz?

Are you unaware that previous prime ministers - Blair and Cameron - have specifically linked UK policy in the Middle East to terrorism here? More specifically, they claimed in all seriousness that military campaigns in Iraq and Libya would PREVENT acts of terrorism here. Mirthless laughter and tears vie as appropriate reactions.

    1. @Alan I trust your comments are not aimed at me!!?
I am clear in my mind that the mis-reporting of Jeremy Corbyn's speech is underhand tactics and I am alarmed at the distortion and spin applied by Theresa May in her comments. I am ashamed that Mrs May's tactics are nothing short attempts of defamation of the character of Jeremy Corbyn.
The West has ruined Iraq and created mayhem in Libya, and I could never understand the statement that going into Afghanistan 'will keep us safe'.

  3. Thrupence.
AB we need a proper debate on our foreign policy and a lot more honesty. We do interfere in Islamic lands.
We are allied to Saudi Arabia, a country which has one of the most extreme forms of Islam as core belief, and the closest terrorist movement in belief to that country is ISIS much of whose arms are Western manufactured, who are carried by British kids in the battle of the Caliphate. The power of Saudi money is more important to the British government than any particular view of Islam we hold, or they hold for that matter.
Look at the mess we did in Libya. Look at the way we screwed over Iraq who is now lost to us. Can the people of those two countries say that we are peacemakers as ambassadors of Christianity? We created chaos, we created civil wars in those countries. We created Isis.
We need to have a foreign policy that is detached from America. Meanwhile in Wales the Welsh Guards are going back to Afghanistan in a few months and then they say with sadness in their eyes, that Syria is on the cards. What is this love of foreign intervention? a hankering for their finest hour? Oh for the roaring engine of the Wellington bomber!
